Baki Urmanche (1897 - 1990)
"Baki Urmanche is the patriarch of our graphic arts. When we are asked who is the founder of Tatar poetry and music, we answer: Gabdulla Tukay and Salih Saydash. When we are asked who is the founder of Tatar fine arts, we answer: Baki aga Urmanche".

Konstantin Vasiliev (1942-1976)
Konstantin Vasiliev - russian painter lived in Kazan, his creative legacy consists of more than 400 paintings and graphic drawings: portraits, sceneries, surrealistic compositions, paintings of epical, mythical and battle genres. Among his works the most famous are the series of paintings: "Old Russia as land of sagas" and "Nibelung's ring", series of paintings devoted to the Second World War, graphical portraits, the last work of painter - "Man with eagle owl".

Since 1949 till 1976 he had been living in the house, where was opened the museum. In 1976 accidentally he died and was buried in Vasilievo settlement.

Ilyas Phaizulline
Ilyas Phaizulline, painter of the Tatarstan Republic (Russia), was born in Tetyushi city on Volga in 1950. In 1970 Ilyas Phaizulline ended a musical-art-pedagogical secondary school in Leninigorsk and started to work in a painting, sculpture and architecture Institute, in St. Petersburg.

Ilyas painter and draftsman, has been living and working in Kazan city, the capital of the Tatarstan Republic, from 2001. Actually he's also member of the Artists' Union of Russia and Tatarstan. Ilyas is a master painter of the mystical realism, and always he focuses his attention on subjects such as Ancient Greece, mythology and the history of the Tatar People.

Shamil Shaidullin (born in 1947)
Shamil Shaidullinis a honored Tatarstan folk artist, has got the State award, Lenin's award and acad. Moiseenko's award. From 1980 the artist is the Member of Russian Artistic Alliance. From the end of 70-th Shamil Shaidullin turns to thematic picture devoted to the Tatar folk life. The artist successfully works in different genres of painting: portrait, landscape, still-life, thematical picture, monumental painting, drawings.

Dozens of his works are in property of foreign galleries and museums in USA, Germany, Turkey, France and others. In his epic pictures one can see the decorative properties of Shamil Shaidullin's painting, his hot temperament, aspiration to flame colours, to melodic arrangements, carpet patterness of composition structure. Shamil Shaidullin embodies the symbol of renovation of modern Tatar fine art.

Anvar Saifutdinov (born in 1963)
Anvar Saifutdinov is a Kazan folk artist, paints a world filled with color and national spirit. He held exhibitions in Kazan, Moscow and in USA (TAOS NM and CO Denver "Turner Art Gallery"). His paintings are demonstrated in many foreign countries. Anvar Saifutdinov took part in creating of young artist's creative group "Dastan", which is translated as "old traditions".

At the same time Anvar and "Dastan" group worked on ceiling decorating in the Big Concert Hall of Kazan Concervatorium (one of the best organ halls in the world). This innovative work was marked by Kazan mayer award. Later he worked on the Tatar alphabet in pictures, series of "Dreams" works. Now his is mostly interested in illustration of books of Tatar writers.

Ildar Zaripov
Ildar Zaripov is a honored Tatarstan folk artist. He took part in a lot of exhibitions in Russia and abroad: Paris (France), Braunshweig (Germany), Moscow, Saint-Piterburg (Russia), etc.

Dozens of his works are in property of foreign galleries and museums in USA, Germany, Japan, France and others. His works are exposed in State Tretjakov's Gallery in Moscow (Russia), in State Russian Museum in Saint Piterburg (Russia), in museums of Kiev (Ukraine), Kazan, Cheboksary, Chita, Krasnoyarsk, Tambov, Herson, Petrozavodsk. Editor's Counsel of American Biographical Institute honored Ildar Zaripov as a person of 1998 year.
